The Camarillo UMC Chancel Choir is a 40+ ensemble that leads worship throughout the year. The repertoire of this fine ensemble is varied and includes contemporary worship, traditional spirituals, folk and popular vocal music, and standards of the classical sacred repertoire. The CUMC Chancel Choir and the CUMC Adult Bell Choir lead the highly popular CUMC Christmas Concert every year to large audiences of the local Ventura County community.
Kristi VanKeersbilck, Director
Camarillo United Methodist Church (CUMC) is a musical church and the handbell ministry is a big part of our music ministry. Started 45 years ago, the CUMC Bell Program has grown over the years, and we now have a fully-graded program for pre-schoolers to adults. CUMC has five fabulous bell choirs, and there is a bell choir for EVERYONE – from 4-year-olds to adults; from beginners to experts. Yes, we have a choir for YOU! Bells are a wonderful way to learn music, develop an appreciation of music, and express yourself creatively, so come check us out!
